Graphic Design
My experience extends beyond the camera. I also have ample experience in the field of graphic design. I have created a wide variety of graphics ranging from advertising design and hypothetical brand elements to editorial spreads for nonprofit organizations. The gallery below highlights my designs created using the Adobe Suite.
Hypothetical Business Card
The Rome Floyd E.C.O Center is a nonprofit organization that
highlights the local ecological systems and how the community
can work to protect what thrives in the region. This business card concept highlights the community that interacts with the
environment. The color palette chosen is reflective of the foundation’s original logo to pay homage to the
founders of this organization while creating a modern interpretation of their brand identity. A complete brand manual was developed, including type selection, color swatch usage, alternate logo placement, and support illustrations/icons. Original artwork was created, and support graphics were applied. The design was created using Adobe Illustrator.
Brand Manual Logo Concept
Supercharged Smoothies is a hypothetical brand concept that merges the high energy world of motorsport with the health conscious smoothie industry. The logo concept incorporates racing inspired symbols alongside beverage imagery to communicate speed, vitality, and refreshment. The color palette was intentionally selected to instill both the competitive spirit of racing and the clean, modern ideology of a smoothie brand. Vector designs were combined and edited to create a logo that visually represents the brand name and tagline. Adobe Illustrator was used to edit the vector designs and formulate a logo concept.
Print Advertisement
This hypothetical advertisement was created for a Toy Raising Event hosted in partnership between the Rome Floyd E.C.O. Center and Toys for Tots, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization. The design concept embraces a wintry aesthetic, utilizing a the natural winter environment as the background to highlight the magic of the holiday season. Community photography was incorporated to highlight real moments of generosity and togetherness from previous events, grounding the advertisement in authenticity. The dual branding of both Toys for Tots and the Rome-Floyd E.C.O. Center was carefully balanced within the layout to honor each organization's identity while maintaining visual cohesion. The overall design strikes a balance between holiday warmth and community driven purpose. The logo designs were created in Adobe Illustrator and the advertisement design and layout was created using Adobe InDesign.
Sticker Concepts
The Berry College Political Science Department sticker collection was designed to celebrate departmental pride and academic identity for students, faculty, and alumni. The design concept incorporates campus imagery alongside symbols of governance, justice, and global engagement to reflect the Political Science department. Each sticker features a distinct visual theme from a stylized illustration that is key to the Political Science department. The imagery and color palette were rendered in a duotone illustrative style to create a cohesive visual language across the collection so that each sticker reads as part of a unified series while maintaining its own distinct identity. The imagery was designed in Adobe Photoshop and those designs were then applied to the vector outlines in Adobe Illustrator.
Magazine Spread
This editorial magazine spread was designed for the Rome Floyd E.C.O. Center. The layout was crafted to inform and engage readers about the center's diverse programming, facilities, and staff, presenting a well rounded portrait of the organization's mission and impact. The multi-column editorial format is structured to guide the reader through several key sections including the center's Educational Programs, Wetlands Demonstration Area, staff spotlights, volunteer opportunities, and the AdventHealth ECO Greenway. Community and nature photography was integrated throughout the spread to bring the content to life, visually connecting readers to the local wildlife, landscapes, and people that define the E.C.O. Center experience. The color palette and typography were selected to give the publication a professional and editorial quality. The design balances informational density with visual breathing room, ensuring accessibility for a broad public audience. The design was created using Adobe InDesign."
